Get up close to the local fauna and flora (activity in preparation, not yet available)

You love nature but you don't understand all the birds and butterflies that flutter around: come and take advantage of your stay to learn how to discover them. You will leave with a nice virtual catalogue of your findings.

Our meadow is teeming with insects (dormice, carabid beetles, ladybirds, dragonflies, butterflies - including the rare Succise Checkerboard ), birds (chickadees, wrens, finches, warblers... not to mention birds of prey) and numerous plants, including wild orchids.

But you may prefer to simply immerse yourself in the beautiful and vast forest of Perseigne for an invigorating "forest bath", in the Japanese style.

The forest of Perseigne is one of the largest forest areas in the Pays de la Loire. Managed by the French National Forestry Office, it contains several natural areas (Natura 2000 and ZNIEFF, i.e. Natural Zone of Interest for Ecology, Flora and Fauna) with rare or protected plant species such as the Mountain Fern or the Pulmonary Lichen, one of the largest in Europe.

In addition to the majestic deer, which you can hear bellowing in September, there are protected animal species such as the Spotted Salamander, the Pique-Prune beetle and the Succise Checkerboard. All three inhabit the preserved bocage to the north of the forest, and even the meadow of the Woodland House!
