Description: To the north of Alençon, you'll find the Boitron Mound, an ancient feudal motte with a vast panoramic view, and Sées, once a Gallic capital and the seat of a bishopric.
Itinerary:
Duration: 1-hour return journey from Surdon railway station (1.5 hours from Paris-Montparnasse; can also leave from Alençon station), 5-6 hours of walks and visits to monuments.
Price: €60 for the first adult, €40 for subsequent adults, €10 per child (entrance fee included).
* transfer possible from Alençon railway station to Le Mans or Caen (1/2 hour journey, €40 return, maximum 3 people); meals and/or accommodation can be arranged (camping at the House of Woods, hotel, gîte or restaurant nearby).

- Visit to the Médavy Castle (18th century) and the exterior of the Ô Castle(15th-16th century)
- Guided tour of the town of Sées, which has been awarded the "Little town full of character" label, with its splendid Norman Gothic cathedral, its canonical chapel, the Argenté palace and even a feudal motte
- Picnic or meal in a restaurant (service not included)
- Visit to the old town of Essay and its chapel of the Dukes of Alençon
- Climb to the Boitron Mound with its panoramic view of the Écouves forest to the west and the Perseigne forest to the south
- Return to Surdon station
